This beautiful wall decal is called Rangimarie (the Maori word for Peace), by NZ artist Amber Smith.

Place it in your living room, your front door, by your recliner, wherever you need a reminder of peace.

Amber Smith is a printmaker from Nelson who is also well known for her ceramics. The imagery that Smith uses in her prints are her exploration of her wairoa (spirit) and what it means to come from Aotearoa. The artist says “I love words and nearly always use them in my work. Maori whakatauki (proverbs) and waiata aroha (songs about the nature of love) have such an emotional resonance that they become part of the image itself.”

The heart shaped Rangimarie decal measures approximately 28cm x 23.5cm (11" x 9 1/4"). It comes to you on a vinyl sheet, and you just peel the heart away from its backing. Apply to a smooth surface, such as painted walls, doors, cupboards, fridges, laptops, glass and metal. It peels off easily to re-position.
